Realizing the first solar power plants
How it all started: Our solar power expert Natalie Klette (right) and student trainee Melanie Graf taking a measurement in Plänitz-Leddin. The top edge of the free-standing solar power plant will be approx. 3.20 meters.
Green Wind is betting on all green energy sources! The first free-standing solar power plant with 60 MW is now in development. The location: Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Ludwigslust-Parchim district, Lewitzrand OT Raduhn municipality. The land at the 43-hectare site is not particularly suitable for agriculture. After initial examination of the site in July 2020, extensive talks with community representatives and the site owners plus notification of residents, Green Wind Energy was granted consent to prepare a development plan for Raduhn at the end of 2022. In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Green Wind is currently drawing up this plan as well as the documentation for proceedings to obtain permission to deviate from the planning objective.
Assuming that the approval processes run smoothly, commissioning is estimated to be two years away. Further solar power projects are in the pipeline at Green Wind, for instance in Brandenburg and Saxony-Anhalt.
