It’s go time! Lisa Neufeld, student trainee at Green Wind Engineering, is preparing a video survey of two Repower turbines at the wind farm in Klein-Mutz. She is accompanied and assisted by the Technical Operations Management (TOM). They will make video recordings of the rotor hub and nacelle to check whether everything is running smoothly. The measured data will then be analyzed with new tracking software developed by Martin Peters. “Our plan is to train our colleagues in TOM and third parties to carry out the video surveys independently and on site, so that we can measure vibrations precisely, cost-effectively and from anywhere on Earth,” says the engineer from Green Wind Engineering.
