Green Wind awarded official seal for fair wind energy
The Thuringia Energy and GreenTech Agency (ThEGA) recently awarded Green Wind Energy its official seal for fair wind energy in Thuringia. As a company in the wind energy sector, Green Wind therefore has a credible voice in project development and a proven role in boosting regional value creation. Top priorities here are the involvement of all interest groups and a transparent information policy in dialog with municipalities and citizens in Thuringia.
Thomas Platzek, ThEGA renewable energy project manager, presented the official seal to Manuel Lasse, Managing Director of Green Wind Energy GmbH, in Erfurt: “We have a sense of commitment to the guidelines for every wind turbine development in Thuringia, and are delighted with this special accolade!”
The binding measures are based on 5 guidelines:
- Involvement of all interest groups in the vicinity of a wind farm throughout the entire planning phase
- Ensuring transparent handling of project-relevant information locally, providing support and clarification
- Fair participation of all parties and residents concerned, including site owners with no direct benefit
- Involvement of the regional utilities and banks
- Creation of a direct opportunity for Thuringian citizens, companies, and municipalities to participate financially.
