Schrepkow project with Danish operators is moving forward
The expansion of the Schrepkow wind farm in Gumtow, Brandenburg, is making great visible progress. The foundations have been built and all turbine components for the four GE turbines have been delivered, meaning that construction is progressing quickly despite all the COVID, weather and supply-related adversities. The first tower segments of all four wind turbines have already been pre-assembled. The next step is the set-up of the large crane and the installation of the remaining turbine components.
The repowering project involved the replacement of ten old NM 52 turbines with a rated capacity of 900 kW each. Green Wind is erecting two wind turbines from manufacturer General Electric with a capacity of 3.8 MW and two further wind turbines of 5.5 MW. The Danish, long-standing operators of the old turbine are involved in the new wind farm project.
