N133/4.8 ready for operation in Schrepkow

The N133/4.8 wind turbine in greenwind’s Schrepkow wind park (in the Gumtow/Brandenburg municipality) has been erected. Start-up can be carried out as soon as the grid operator Edis issues the system certificate required for the feed-in licence. The system has been ready for operation by greenwind since the end of November 2024.

greenwind already installed four GE turbines in the first construction phase of the repowering project, and organised the dismantling of ten obsolete NM 52 turbines each with 900 kW. This was then followed by a second construction phase with construction of a fifth turbine: the N133/4.8 with a hub height of 82.5 metres and a total height of 149.1 metres.

According to the Brandenburg decree, the Gumtow municipality can now expect an additional 10,000 euros of income per year, and the municipalities of Plattenburg and Gumtow also receive 0.2 cents per kilowatt hour generated in accordance with the Renewable Energy Act.

The compensatory measure was carried out in the first construction phase and is already up and running: a disused cattle farm in Schrepkow has been recultivated. Concrete surfaces were broken up, old buildings demolished and a green area was laid down.
Green Wind Operation GmbH is now responsible for technical operations management. Green Wind Denmark will be responsible for commercially managing the project, and the Danish investors with whom greenwind has been working successfully over a longer period will be involved in the project in accordance with Danish legal requirements.
