Green hydrogen generation and intelligent sector integration – this is the current contract with which the new company of the Green Wind Group is being launched in 2022: Green Wind Innovation GmbH & Co KG develops integrated energy systems, taking into account current framework conditions and future technologies. The company is taking the first steps toward the complex future of renewables in the context of the TH2ECO – Thüringen H2Ecosystem project that is working together with numerous partners to establish a sustainable hydrogen infrastructure in the region of Thuringia.

New level for green energy generation

Manuel Lasse, Managing Director of Green Wind Innovation: “We are taking green energy generation to a new level and using all the expertise of the Green Wind Group. After all, a complete energy system affects far more than just the electricity sector.” Lasse’s innovative project managers Kilian Fromm, Natalie Klette, and Franziska Göbel bundle experience and commitment in the fields of wind energy, photovoltaics, and hydrogen. They are developing integrated energy systems and providing input on hydrogen and other topics relating to sector integration on the basis of dynamic development.

Thuringia: More than 20 MW of electrolysis output

As part of the TH2ECO project, Green Wind is working on generating green hydrogen from renewable energy facilities for Thuringia. The electrolysis output of at least 20 MW in 2027 planned as part of the initiative is to be located close to the natural gas pipeline, which is to be converted to pure hydrogen, and supplied from wind energy and solar power plants. The project was initiated by Ferngas Netzgesellschaft together with numerous partners such as SWE Energie, TEAG, and BOREAS Energie.

From development to monitoring

Green Wind Innovation offers customers comprehensive consulting regarding both the conceptual design and implementation of hydrogen projects and energy farms. The range of services is focused on feasibility checks on the basis of production costs and legal classification as well as the management of approval processes and coordination of the commissioning schedule. The offer also includes technical and commercial operations management as well as the involvement of the independent 24/7 control room for the purpose of efficient systems monitoring.
