6 new wind parks in TOM. Data empowers wind!
The greenwind Technical Operations Management (TOM) portfolio also expanded in 2025 with six new wind parks in Rhineland-Palatinate, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Brandenburg and Baden-Württemberg, totalling 20 new wind turbines with 60 MW. Berliner Stadtwerke (Berlin municipal utilities) has also extended its operating contract with greenwind for a second time, and added to this are two PV parks as follow-up orders from satisfied customers. The TOM team currently manages around 600 MW of wind energy and 15 MW of photovoltaic installations.
The regular recertification of quality and health management at TOM was achieved without reclamations, which once again emphasises its high standards of quality, safety and sustainability.
Sandra Zanzig, who became Head of Technical Operations Management in mid-2025, continues to be active in the working group Daten Stärken Wind (Data Empowers Wind). This group aims to provide answers to a central issue: what does the EU Data Act mean for the wind industry, and how can companies sensibly utilise its potential? The goal is to provide operators with access to high-resolution, refined data so that they can use anomaly analyses to detect or even prevent damage at an early stage.
In 2026, the greenwind TOM will continue to think creatively and develop constructively. The agenda includes topics such as the rollout of smart meters and the benefits of early conversion, the advantages of Section 100 (47) of the Renewable Energy Act for the voluntary applicability of Sections 51/52 to reduce payment claims in the event of negative prices, and the opportunities presented by the reactive power control market.
