Georg Meyer becomes the new Managing Director of Green Wind Operations GmbH.

Georg Meyer, since last year Managing Director of Green Wind Operations GmbH, is now also assuming management of Green Wind Engineering GmbH. This brings two central units within the greenwind Group even closer together.

Green Wind Engineering is an experienced team of engineers specialised in demanding and exacting measurement campaigns for the technical optimisation of wind turbines. The aim is to identify anomalies such as increased vibrations, reduced yield and excessive noise emissions at an early stage and to rectify these with customised measures.

Under the technical direction of Martin Peters, the team specifically utilises state of the art measurement methods. The focus is on making the operation of wind turbines efficient, stable and as wear-resistant as possible – a decisive plus for operators who depend on economical and reliable turbine operation.

Georg Meyer underlines the importance of the Green Wind Engineering measurement processes: “If you can identify where there’s potential for optimisation at an early stage you can then create the basis for stable and economical system operation in the long run. Our measurement methods do precisely that – they enable well-founded decisions and prevent expensive downtimes. I firmly believe that this holistic view of technology will become even more important in the future to sustainably and successfully develop wind energy.” To meet the increasing demand for measurements and analyses, Green Wind Engineering GmbH plans to expand its partnerships in Germany and abroad.

The previous Managing Director Manuel Lasse, co-founder and co-owner of the greenwind Group, will now be concentrating on the further strategic development of the corporate group: “In the next two years we’re expecting strong growth in the project planning of wind and solar parks. Connected to this is a considerable need for coordination across all areas, internally and externally. These are the tasks that require my full attention,” states Lasse. “Georg Meyer has many years of experience in the wind energy sector. With a strong technical grasp, an eye for the whole issue and a cooperative style of management, he brings with him excellent prerequisites for the further development of Green Wind Engineering and thus the entire Group.”
