One for all! V 150 belongs to the entire greenwind team.
All employees in the greenwind Group become wind turbine operators themselves – and with all the ups and downs! Two years ago the ‘Freudenberg Nord’ site near Berlin was chosen, assigned to the Freudenberg-Süd wind park. Everyone in the company contributes to the success and all are involved on a pro rata basis. The team itself develops the system, constructs it, makes sure it keeps running and optimises its operation. Our long-standing employee Sophie Kolb has been managing the project since 2022, and official authorisation for the wind turbine has now been granted.
Greenwind Project Development submitted its application for a Vestas V150 5.6 MW in accordance with the Federal Immission Control Ordinance back in 2019. Since then discussions have been held with authorities and landowners, and the form of participation has been somewhat modified to ensure that everything is legally proper and tax-compliant. After all, hardly any role models exist for this type of participation. Erecting a wind turbine like this in Germany with the help of employees is a long and patience-testing feat that demands a high level of skill! We’ll be reporting on further stages of this highly unusual project.
